Facelift Surgery For Men
Facial cosmetic surgery for men requires a more conservative approach than women to ensure they retain the rugged facial features that define the quintessentially handsome male: a low and heavy brow, minor facial lines, a strong angular jaw line, full cheeks and a prominent chin.
This is even more critical when it comes to facelift surgery. The aim is to refresh, restore and to rejuvenate the face rather than make the face appear unnaturally tight or stretched or – even worse – more feminine.
Dr Liew believes that a good facelift should always look very natural. By concentrating on the deeper facial layers – the “SMAS” - facelift surgery is more about rearranging and lifting the sagging facial layers. The overlying skin is simply redraped and excess skin excised.
This delivers a very natural looking result, making the patient look younger and refreshed without any tell tale signs of surgery. Scarring in most cases is virtually invisible.
Out of regard for patient confidentiality a selection of before and after photos of male patients who have had facelift procedures are available for private viewing by appointment.
