Eye & Brow Lift Sydney

About the treatment

The eyes are intrinsic to our appearance, and as the most expressive and striking feature, they define our facial aesthetic.

Unfortunately, they’re also one of the first features to show signs of ageing. Over time, the eyes adapt to various factors, including genetics, sun damage, and ageing. As a result, muscle layers and structural tissue beneath the eyelid skin begin to weaken, collagen breaks down, and fat deposits shift, causing the eyelids to droop or become puffy.

At Shape Clinic in Sydney, Dr Steven Liew offers various non-surgical techniques to help you enhance the eyes.

Non-surgical rejuvenation is best suited for patients with mild to moderate signs of ageing. Surgical options are likely to be more effective for patients with more severe puffiness or drooping, with longer last results. Schedule an in-person consultation today to discover which option is best for you.

Non Surgical Brow Lift

Over time, our skin becomes less elastic and loses volume, and the underlying muscles lose tone and structure. When combined with the effects of gravity, the upper third of your face tends to drop down and distort the natural arch of your brows. As the outer brow presses downward, it can adjust the shape and curve of the eyes.

Dr Liew has created a non-surgical technique to restore volume to the forehead area and reposition the brows. Dr Liew and his team of highly skilled practitioners can personalise this procedure specifically to your needs by combining new generation gel products. By analysing your facial habits and your age, stage of life and aesthetic goals, he can select the most appropriate treatment and integrate it into one highly effective, minimally invasive brow lift procedure.

Non Surgical Upper Eyelid Lift

A non surgical upper eyelid lift requires similar techniques to a brow lift. These two procedures are often performed simultaneously to correct both the eyebrow and hollowing in the eyelid.

With a combination of hyaluronic acid gel treatments, anti-wrinkle treatments and skin tightening treatments, Dr Liew and his team of highly skilled practitioners can address volume loss and skin laxity to replenish the underlying eyelid tissue.

The result is a subtle, natural-looking improvement of the eyes. As with the eyebrow lift, a non-surgical eyelid lift does present some limitations for those who require more extensive correction. A blepharoplasty surgical treatment will involve removing excess eyelid skin, repositioning fat and tweaking the muscles to produce a firmer, more aesthetically pleasing result.

Non Surgical Lower Eyelid Lift

Signs of ageing vary between individuals so this process will affect everyone differently. As the skin becomes thinner, some patients notice the eyelid skin beginning to crease or drop vertically, distorting the smooth, curvature between the eyes and cheeks. A more common concern for patients is the hollowing underneath the eyes. Also known as tear-troughs, these grooves create a dark shadow at the junction between the lower eyelid and the cheeks, which can deepen and become more prominent over time.

Hyaluronic acid gel treatments are used to rejuvenate areas of the face that have sunken or hollowed with age. They provide a safe, effective and natural-based way to fill in the trough groove and replenish the eyelid skin. Whilst this procedure involves no anaesthesia and no incisions with little to no downtime, it carries more risk and should be performed by a highly qualified injector with demonstrated experience treating this area.

**Please note that a non-surgical lower eyelid lift does not address puffiness or bulging around the eye. Patients with these concerns may be more suited to lower eyelid surgery or lower blepharoplasty.

Combination Treatment

A lower eyelid, upper eyelid and eyebrow lift can be performed as a non surgical combination treatment for those seeking a more comprehensive rejuvenation of the eyes.

During your consultation, Dr Steven Liew and his team of highly skilled practitioners will determine precisely what combination of treatments is required to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Whilst this procedure involves no anaesthesia and no incisions with little to no downtime, it carries more risk and should be performed by a highly qualified practitioner with demonstrated experience treating this area.
