Upper Arm Lift (Brachialplasty)

Ageing and repeated weight fluctuations can lead to excess skin hanging from the upper arms – a condition commonly referred to as ‘bat wings’ or ‘tuckshop’ arms.

This condition can cause embarrassment and a loss of confidence – but unfortunately no amount of exercise can restore skin elasticity or eradicate excess skin.

An upper arm lift – generally combined with liposculpting - reshapes the skin underneath the upper arm, giving a firmer and more toned appearance. The incision is placed either in the armpit (short scar) or along the back of the arm, depending on the severity of the excess skin.
