IPL (Lime light)

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive treatment, using multiple wavelengths of light to correct the visible signs of sun damage and ageing to the surface skin.

Common areas that can be treated are face, neck, décolleté, arms and hands. Improvements can be seen for a variety of skin conditions:

  • Large pigmented lesions
  • Mottled complexions
  • Freckles
  • Small capillaries (telangiectasia)
  • Redness
  • Rosacea
  • Skin tone
  • Skin texture

No anaesthetic is required and treatments are well tolerated with ice packs and cool gel. Brown spots should appear darker after the treatment and remain darker for a week before the skin cells naturally turn over and fade. Make up may be worn immediately after, and most people feel confident to return to work or other daily activities. Results may be accelerated with adjunctive cosmeceutical skincare, an effective treatment option for a clearer complexion.

One to three treatments are recommended and results can be seen anywhere between the one and three week mark. To sustain the results, we encourage an additional treatment annually.
