Proper aftercare is important to support safe recovery following radiofrequency microneedling. Experiences differ between individuals, and side effects such as redness, swelling, bruising, or sensitivity are common in the first few days. Your practitioner will provide personalised instructions suited to your skin and treatment plan.
General Post-Care Tips
-
Apply a cold compress or ice pack to the treated area for 15–20 minutes at a time to help reduce swelling or discomfort.
-
Cleanse the skin gently twice daily with a mild, non-irritating cleanser. Avoid harsh cleansers, scrubs, or exfoliants.
-
Keep the skin well hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser.
-
Avoid direct sun exposure and always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 50+) once the skin has healed sufficiently, as advised by your practitioner.
-
Refrain from hot showers, saunas, or strenuous exercise for the first 48–72 hours.
