Dr. Liew was the first Australian to be admitted as a fellow in plastic surgery at the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Centre in New York, where he focused on facial and breast plastic surgery. Dr. Liew continues to practice in the field of facial surgery, using individual clinical assessments to inform patient management.
In addition to his surgical practice, Dr Liew is involved in the ongoing development and professional education of non-surgical medical aesthetic practices within the medical community.
Dr Steven Liew (MED0001151298) is the principal and medical director of Shape Clinic. He is also a consultant plastic surgeon at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and St Vincent’s Clinic, where he performs a range of plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures.
Dr Liew’s clinical practice includes both surgical and non-surgical medical aesthetic procedures. Treatment options are determined following thorough clinical assessments to ensure suitability for each individual patient.
Dr Steven Liew (MED0001151298) has contributed to the development of non-surgical medical aesthetic procedures focusing on the lower face and jawline. Some of these procedures have been referenced in medical and aesthetic publications, including Elle (New York, 2009) and Dermatological Times (USA, 2009).
His work has since expanded to include non-surgical medical aesthetic approaches related to the eye, neck, and face, as well as techniques addressing jawline contouring and smile aesthetics. All treatments are provided following a thorough consultation and clinical assessment to determine their suitability for each individual patient.
To support clinical decision-making in aesthetic treatments, Dr Steven Liew (MED0001151298) developed the Liew International Face Template, a conceptual framework referenced in Dermatology Times (USA, 2009).
This tool is intended to assist healthcare professionals in planning facial enhancement procedures by providing a structured reference for individual facial assessment. Any treatments that incorporate this approach are provided only after thorough consultation and clinical evaluation to determine patient suitability.
