Cervicoplasty (Necklift) Surgery Sydney

About the treatment

As the dermis on the neck is thinner than other areas of the body, this delicate area is highly vulnerable.

“A meloplasty (facelift) or cervicoplasty (neck lift) is not about pulling the face and neck tight, but rather lifting them to the right degree — Dr Liew.

Cervicoplasty (Neck Lift) Recovery

First Week:

  • Swelling and bruising: These are the most prominent initial effects, peaking within the first 24-48 hours. They can significantly obscure your surgical outcome, making it difficult to assess early results.
  • Discomfort and tightness: You may experience some soreness and feeling of tightness around your neck, which is normal and manageable with medication.

Second Week:

  • Gradual improvement: Swelling and bruising start to subside, revealing a clearer picture of the initial tightening and lifting effect.

Third Week:

  • Significant progress: Most of the swelling and bruising should have resolved by now, allowing you to appreciate the improved neck contour and jawline definition.

Fourth Week and Beyond:

  • Refined results: Continued healing brings further reduction in any remaining swelling, with the final, refined results becoming more evident.

Full Recovery:

  • It can take up to 3-6 months for all swelling to completely resolve and the final scar to mature. During this time, the rejuvenated appearance of your neck will continue to evolve
