Are there any side effects to be expected?

Cheek and Chin filler treatment is generally considered to be a safe procedure, but there are some potential side effects that you should be aware of. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own within a few days.

Some of the most common side effects of dermal filler treatment include:

Bruising and swelling: This is the most common side effect, and it usually goes away within 7-10 days

Pain and tenderness: This is also a common side effect, and it can last for a few for 4-10 days. Severe pain post dermal filler injections is unusual and in this case you should contact your treating practitioner

Redness: This is a less common side effect, and usually only present at the injection site.

Itching: Also  a less common side effect, but some people may expereince itching of their skin for the first 48 to 72 hours.

Are there any specific aftercare instructions following jawline dermal fillers?

Yes, there are some specific aftercare instructions that you should follow after Cheek and Chin enhancement. These include:

  • Apply a cold compress to the treatment area for 10-15 minutes at a time, several times a day, for the first 24 hours. This will help to reduce swelling and bruising.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours. This will help to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
  • Avoid rubbing or touching the treatment area to give the filler time to settle in to the skin. This can also increase the risk of bruising and swelling.
  • Avoid makeup on the treatment area for 24 hours unless it is a post procedure makeup.
  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, hot tubs or bikram yoga for 24-48 hours. These activities can increase swelling and bruising.
  • Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. This will help to flush out any toxins and reduce the risk of side effects.
